Abstract

Aim: To explore the clinicopathological characteristics of solitary fibrous pseudotumor of the testicular tunica.

Method: The clinical and pathological data of a case with solitary fibrous pseudotumor of the testicular tunica was retrospectively analyzed and the literature was reviewed.

Results: Surgical exposure by trans-scrotal incision revealed a solid, well-delineated nodule at the testicular tunica distinct from the testis and the epididymis. Local excision for the tumor and partial testicular tunica was accomplished. After a follow-up of 6 months, no relapse occurred.

Conclusion: Solitary fibrous pseudotumor of the testicular tunica is a rare benign neoplasm. this benign lesion should be distinguished from tumors and lesions of the testis and lesions of the paratesticular region and should not be confused with malignant neoplasm.
