A prediction model for fracturing grouting pressure in soil mass

Zhi-bin Wang, Jin-feng Zou

Abstract

On the basis of cavity expansion and fracture grouting mechanism, the assumptions of small deformation in elastic zone and large deformation in plastic zone, non-associated flow rules, are adopted in the paper. The solution of fracture grouting pressure based on the Unified Strength failure criterion, Spatial Mobilized Plane criterion (SMP criterion), Mohr-Coulomb failure criterion and Modified Cambridge model are proposed, respectively. By comparing local test data with theoretical results, it reveals that, for the weakly consolidated soil, the solution of fracture grouting pressure are suitable for the Cambridge model and large-strain theory in and Mohr-Coulomb theory is suitable for over-consolidated soil.
