The mindfulness degree of private basic school principals in Amman governorate and its relation to the practicing degree of servant leadership dimensions for them, from teachers’ point of view

Abstract


      This research aimed at discovering the mindfulness degree of private basic school principals in Amman governorate and its relation to the practicing degree of servant leadership dimensions for them from teachers’ point of view. A proportional stratified random sample was drawn from the population of the research, consisted of (368) male and female teachers. To achieve the objectives of the research, a questionnaire was developed to discover the mindfulness level of private basic school principals in Amman governorate. Another instrument was developed to measure the practicing degree of servant leadership dimensions. Validity and reliability of the two tools were assured. The findings indicated that The mindfulness level of private basic schools principals in Amman governorate, from teachers’ point of view; was medium. The practicing degree of servant leadership dimensions was low, from teachers’ point of view. There was no significant correlational relationship at (α≤0.05) between the mindfulness level of private basic school principals in Amman governorate and the degree of practicing servant leadership dimensions. In light of the finding the researchers recommended the following:

1. Taking into consideration the findings of this research, when preparing training programs to develop administrators and school principals.

2. Conducting a similar research on public basic school principals and other study stages in Amman.
