THE NEURODIDACTICS OF MUSICAL EXPRESSION AND PERCEPTION IN CHILDREN OF PRE-SCHOOL AND PRIMARY SCHOOL

Gustau Olcina-Sempere, María-Ángeles Palomar-García, César Ávila Rivera

Abstract

The advances that have taken place during the last years in the field of neurosciences and in the neurodidactics, have provided us to know what changes the musical formation produces in children and how music is processed in relation to the psychoevolutive stages of the child.

On the other hand, the analysis of the effects of music education on children has allowed us to know the relationship and influence of music education on the acquisition of language skills in children.

Additionally, the possibility of examining the effects of music on children's brain and its neurodidactics application, has also allowed us to know what impact music has in the early stages of the child's socio-emotional and sociological development.

Taking into account the advances of neuroeducation and its impact on the neurodidactics, it makes us think about the need to carry out a musical education that covers from pre-school education to adulthood, thus favoring the acquisition of social, emotional and multidisciplinary aspects in the formation of the human being.
